Some Poster inspiration....

Notes on a Scandal Trailer

Think about your Titles...

Simple, yet effective methods are often best... look at the titles for Hitchcock thriller Vertigo, created by Saul Bass.

Cape Fear

Also consider, the simple titling in This Is England.. it's better for your titles to be readable rather than really "arty" as they are only on screen for a short amount of time.

Consider, your film's genre and also make tie-ins with your poster too!

Viral Marketing and Teaser Trailers (Rik Hudson)

Rik's presentation on Viral Marketing & Teaser Trailers...

Original Cloverfield trailer... notice the lack of a title and the the tie in with the Film Poster (1-18-08 and the Statue Of Liberty). Later the title was added to the credits.
Also see the viral websites released for marketing... www.1-18-08.com | www.slusho.jp |www.tagruato.jp | www.tidowave.com

Star Trek trailer... again no Title (Just the iconic Shield Logo, no footage from the actual film).

Hills Have Eyes 2: Very simple, one shot trailer... canted angles, give the audience a great sense of unease.

Art Of The Film Poster (Temi Odumosu)
